Here at Miraculous Entertainment, we offer many different forms of clowning, including:

 BABY CLOWNS???!!!!

Sorry, no we don't actually offer baby clowns, but our clowns can hand out red sponge clown noses at your party for a little extra fun!

  • White Face Clowns

Perfect for all events with or without children.

Popular because it's classic and classy. It's professional-looking, and never intimidating.

  • Hobo/tramp Clowns

(similar to that of Emmett Kelly and Emmett Kelly Jr)

These modern clowns are growing in popularity because they have less makeup and color, are are less risky of intimidating a child. These are perfect for events in which the clown will be in close proximity to the audience, such as a birthday party.

  • Character clowns (such as a boy or girl character, Cat in the Hat, a mime, or jester).

These characters are suitable for all events. The mimes and jesters are a popular choice for adult events with a theme, and several other event types. They are a nice choice if you want more color than a tramp/hobo clown, but also want the color and fun of an auguste clown.

We are willing and capable of performing any type of clowning to meet your preferences. We do find, however, that certain types of clowning tend to suit different events and venues better than others do. Ask for more details when you call (248)291-4388.

Funny Clown Quotes and Facts:

"I had a friend who was a clown. When he died, all his friends went to the funeral in one car."

-Stephen Wright

"I remain one thing, and one thing only, and that is a clown. It places me on a far higher plane than any politician."

-Charlie Chaplin

Hugh Jackman was a professional clown at birthday parties for three years before getting his big break in American cinema playing the part of Wolverine in the hit movie X-Men.

The word "clown" is derived from Scandinavian origin, akin to the Icelandic word "kunni", which is translated as "a clumsy person." They were originally created in theater productions for comic relief, and their duties usually involved falling down in order to get a laugh from the audience. This same concept was later added to the circus in order to get a comic relief during more serious acts, such as fire eating or other intense displays.

The term "clown alley" can refer either to the backstage area in which people change costumes and/or apply makeup during or before a show, or a group of professional clowns. The term derives from the fact that in traditional shows, clowns were forced to prepare for a show in the alley behind the theater they were performing in because clowns use larger amounts of power to set their makeup than any other type of theater performer; so much, in fact, that other types of performers used to complain that the clowns caused their powder to get all over the clothing, makeup, and other belongings of other performers when it became airborne. To this day, certain areas of dressing rooms and groups of clowns and other performers may still be refered to as a "clown alley".
